PPG Wins Battle of the Imports - 29 April, 2009

PPG Gears Power Norris Prayoonto to Blitz the Field at the 2009 Series Opener of Battle of the Imports, Orlando, USA.

In the Pro class, Norris Prayoonto and his Honda Insight moved to the top of the all-motor Pro-Stock qualifying with a 9.640-second pass at 140.37mph, clear of No. 2 qualifier Jesus Padilla in his Mazda RX-7 which registered a 9.914 at 133.67. Prayoonto remained essentially unchallenged throughout his day and eventually met Jesus in the final where Prayoonto posted a 9.572 to win.

Prayoonto has enjoyed a trouble free drivetrain since changing to the PPG Dog Engagement Drag Gearset some 12 months ago.
